Recording in the Project Studio
Recording in the Project Studio is digital ,based around processors running Cubase 5 DAW Software and interfacing through a Focusrite Saffire Pro I/O 26 module which ,along with the ADAT interfaces ,gives 24 simultaneous inputs and outputs.
This number of I/O 's is very rarely used in the studio where multitracking is the norm but it is typically very useful when recording on location where a band or large orchestra/choir are playing live.
Generally , the studio is a control room based facility. There is a large selection of audio modules both Hardware and Plug-in which can be addressed via a Steinberg 8x8 midi interface including the Famous PPG Wave 2.3 and WaveTerm B which are notorious for the "Frankie goes to Hollywood" Bass sound and a plethora of other 80's gems! There is a resident programmer/producer/keyboardist available at all times with a vast range of expertise dating back from the early 80's to present.
The equipment List page gives you a feel for the range of "toys" available (which are mainly keyboard oriented....cos the owner's a keyboard player!!).
